Promoting and encouraging creative explorations through artist-in-residence school programs and community workshops is an important part of my professional art practice. Since 2011, I have been working with youth artists through a number of community arts programs, Calgary Board of Education, Calgary Catholic School Board, charter schools, Stoney Education and multiple non-profit groups.
Primarily, educational residencies are themed around urban art forms, however programs around female empowerment, social entrepreneurship and environmentally conscious creativity (upcycling) have also been facilitated. Every program is custom developed, keeping special needs, schedule and curriculum requirements in mind.
Collaborative projects such as Legacy Murals are painted with the involvement of younger artists, under my creative direction and guidance. Special event activities and creative campaigns involving a large group-collaborative artwork have also been coordinated.
